Float Tank Sessions

Our standard float sessions are for 1hour, however we advise to allow 1.5hours for your appointment as we do require all clients to shower before & after their float to ensure we maintain our facilities to the highest standard of cleanliness.  We ask all new clients to read through Before you float & check out the FAQ's for all the information on do's & don'ts, what to bring, etc.

1 hour is generally ample time for 'first-timers'' however we do offer longer sessions for those who think 1hour might not be long enough.  Especially those who have floated a few times, one hour can seem to disappear far too quickly! So we have range of session lengths & multiple float packages, see our price list for details.  If you can't find what you are looking for - we are happy to tailor packages to your individual needs, just contact us.

We do recommend 3-5 sessions relatively close together  initially to really feel the benefits.    It sometimes takes people 2, 3 or more floats to completely relax into the environment so we do suggest that one float is not enough to truly experience the full benefits of floating!  Most people come out of their first float looking forward to their next as a large portion of the first float is getting used to the environment.  Once they have overcome all their fears/concerns about the experience they are excited about coming back and completely relaxing.  For those who generally take longer to relax we recommend a massage before your float to help you unwind beforehand & step into the tank ready to drift away.

We do have audio & video facilitles in the tank.  Generally we play some relaxing music for approximately 10 minutes at the start of the session then we turn it back on gently to signal that it is the end of the session.  If you would like to bring any music of your own, you are very welcome however we must stress it should be gentle & relaxing.  We have a variety of guided meditations, subliminal 'calm', ocean sounds,

Massage

Whether you prefer a deep, firm massage, a softer more relaxing massage or something inbetween, we have a range of masseuses encompassing a wide variety of massage styles, so we are sure to have something to suit.  Check out Our Practitioners for more information on the types of therapies available & the practitioner qualifications/experience.

Our standard massage session is for 1hour however longer sessions are available.  Massages are available separately or in combination with a float.  A wonderful thing to do as a couple or 2 friends is for one to have a massage while the other floats & then swap over.  We also recommend a massage before your float if you find it particularly difficult to 'switch off' & relax.

Floating after your massage can help with your muscle recovery,  reducing post-massage muscle soreness with the weightlessness & epsom salts allowing your muscles to continue to relax & your body to detoxify during the float.

Floating before your massage can also be beneficial, firstly as the first few layers of tension have already been broken down & your muscles are already more relaxed when you get on the table, allowing the masseusse to access the deeper muscle tissue more easily.  Another plus of having the massage after the float is that your senses can be heightened after the hour of restricted sensory stimulation, so the massage can feel even better!!

Cancellation Policy

understand that sometimes cancellations cannot be helped & we do not want to put people off coming back again if they have to cancel for some unforeseen reason.  We are sure you would understand we may have turned away other clients or foregone other work in order to keep your booking.  We really dislike having to charge cancellation fees but unfortunately, we have had to start enforcing them for late cancellations or no-shows as we have had several situations which have left us significantly out of pocket. We are a very small business with a small turnover & try to keep our prices affordable. So rather than increase prices to cover these situations, we think it is fairer to keep the prices as they are but better implement our cancellation policy.

This is a difficult thing, particularly where a client is new & we have no means of following up payment of a cancellation fee so we have decided to introduce payment in advance for all 'new' clients whereby they are able to pay for appointments either via or website, a paypal request or by EFT prior to their appointment.

If a client has pre-paid & then needs to cancel, provided we have received adequate notice (48hrs) we will either refund them in full or transfer the payment to another date if they reschedule.  For clients who have not paid in advance for some reason - they will be sent an email requesting payment of the necessary cancellation fee to be paid within 7 days.

For cancellations with less than 48hours they will be charged 50% of a normal appointment cost by way of cancellation fee.For less than 24hours notice (including same day cancellations & ‘no-shows’) the client will be charged 80% of the normal appointment cost.  In both cases the client will then receive the balance remaining as credit for their next booking provided the booking is made with the following month.

For bookings with vouchers, please note cancellation fees will be deducted from the value of the voucher as per the above description where applicable.

We would also like to remind anyone who likes to pay by credit card of EFTpos that we do not have EFTpos facilities here, so you will need to make payment online before your appointment. We have been looking into getting EFTpos facilities, unfortunately for a business of our size & small turnover it's quite a significant cost to absorb when we are trying to keep our prices as affordable as possible.
